Saturday Air Service and The Airport Saturdays at the Montrose Airport can be very hectic. During Peak Seasons, Montrose Airport has about 1100 people leaving and 1100 people coming in or about 2200 people accessing the Montrose airport on a Saturday. Here are a few suggestions to have a better Montrose Airport experience.
Suggested Check-In Tips to ease your experience Below is the suggested check-in on a normal day...On Saturdays you may want to allow for an extra 30 Minutes or 2 Hours prior to departure with Checked Luggage and 90 Minutes prior to departure if not checking baggage. Of course using online check-in within 24 hours of your flights will save you lot's of time at the airport and is highly recommended. Also shipping luggage and sports equipment can be fast and easy! See Below for more details...
On other days of the week When travel is completely within the U.S. including Puerto Rico, recommended check-in time is at least 90 minutes prior to departure when checking baggage, and at least 60 minutes prior to departure if not checking baggage. Based on travel volume on Sundays – Fridays these check-in times should work fine.
